I love wine. I love my husband. And I love having wine with my husband. Specifically, Rosé. If we’re not out with friends, on Friday and/or Saturday nights (it’s actually more “and” than “or”) Jon & I sit in front of the fireplace in our family room and enjoy a couple of bottles of Rosé – we have some great conversations, hang out with our sons, listen to some music, and enjoy small bites. Typically, we’ll have prosciutto, Caprese, Manchego cheese with an amazing fig jam, and crostini. We’ll be expanding the food for our wine nights and will try out some tapas and other appetizers and small bites – and you’ll get to enjoy them with us in future posts like this one.
We love Miraval (yes, this is vineyard owned by Brad & Angelina, but the wine is delicious!) and have it frequently with our wine nights. I absolutely love the shape of the bottle and the wine itself is amazingly smooth. One bottle just never seems to be enough. Which is why we usually pick up two!
Whispering Angel is one we’d heard a lot about but couldn’t find it in our area. Finally, on a vacation to Cape Cod, we saw that a local store had a sale and we stocked up. After all the hype, we were pleased to find that it definitely had a wonderful flavor and it became one of our go-to wines.

Closely related to Whispering Angel is Rock Angel and like its cousin, it’s wonderful. The flavor is just different enough that you can distinguish the two, and it’s just as delicious. I also happen to have an attraction to beautiful wine bottles and labels. The artwork and packaging that go into these brands are amazing.

Domaine de Triennes is a refreshing wine that we specifically order when we go to Avenue, the awesome new restaurant in our town of Medfield, Massachusetts. The flavor of this wine goes well with pretty much everything on Avenue’s awesome and diverse menu. And now, I’m getting anxious to go visit the restaurant again.

Chateau Puech-Haut comes in the most amazing bottle and has a flavor to match. Definitely one of our favorites. The frosty glass lends a lovely texture each time you pour yourself a fresh glass. And again, the artwork and bottle design are simply incredible.

Most recently, we tried Wolffer Estate, a vineyard in the Hamptons. It was quite nice and flavorful. You can read my review of it by clicking here.
More coming soon! (Is it Friday yet???)
